Terms of Use and Cancellation Policies


Tathra Beach House Apartments Management acts as letting agent for the owners of Tathra Beach House properties, no GST is charged in relation to the supply of accommodation. Accommodation services are provided for and on behalf of the owner of the apartment with the manager acting as letting agent. The supply is input taxed in accordance with the ATO’s GST Ruling 2000/20.

The number of guests indicated on the booking form can not be exceeded without approval. Please contact reception on 02 6499 9900 to discuss your requirements.

If the number of guests is increased above the stated capacity of the apartment alternative arrangements may need to be made.

Roll-a-way beds, suitable for children, can be provided to increase unit capacity by one person, however extra charges will apply.

Cots are available, extra charges would apply only if the stated unit capacity is exceeded.

Towel changes are available second daily on request.

Motel units are serviced daily. Please let us know if you do not require this service.

Mid stay cleans are provided on bookings longer than 7 nights. Please let us know if you do not require this service.

Check in is normally between 2.00pm and 6.00pm(5.00pm Sunday), if you think you will be arriving earlier than 2.00pm please contact reception to see if this would be possible. 

Arrangements MUST be made for arrivals after 6.00pm. Please Phone 02 6499 9900 prior to 6.00pm for instructions.

If the booking has been made through an online travel agent using a 'Virtual Credit Card' a personal credit card must be provided before or at check in and late arrival arrangements can not be made unless it is supplied.  


By accepting the key through our late arrival system, you are consenting to our terms and conditions outlined here and in the arrival documentation. Please contact reception for more information. 


Early check in may be available, depending on availability.

Check out is 10.00am. Late check out may be available, depending on availability. To discuss early arrivals and late departures, please contact reception 02 6499 9900.

Smoking is NOT permitted within apartments; smoking is only permitted on balconies and in courtyards.

Sorry pets are NOT permitted at Tathra Beach House

Evidence of smoking or pets within an apartment or pets within the apartment will result in carpet cleaning and laundering charges to the guest.


The Guest is liable for payment of any charges incurred by any Guest and any costs relating to loss or damage to the apartment and its contents and the Guest will be liable for payment of a cleaning surcharge if the apartment is left in a condition that requires extra cleaning labour, and/or in the case where a contractor is required to shampoo carpets or upholstery.


Special conditions apply to the number of visiting guests permitted within the 4 Bedroom Villa property and other larger properties. In some situations a it may be necessary to sign a document acknowledging this special condition.


Cancellation Policy

At Tathra Beach House we understand that from time-to-time things change and guests may need to reschedule or cancel a reservation. Our aim is to help our guests change their reservation as easily as possible with minimal financial loss, however in situations when we are unable to find a suitable replacement reservation the guest may lose all or part of their deposit. 


Deposits are required to confirm all reservations.


For Peak Holiday Periods, Christmas, and January School Holidays

A holding deposit equivalent to the first night accommodation is required to secure a reservation during this period.

A further deposit is required to take the total deposit held to 50% of the tariff is payable by 1st of November.

If the reservation is made after 1st November a deposit of 50% is required and is payable on booking.

If the reservation is cancelled prior to 30 days of arrival the deposit is refundable less an administration fee of $100.

If the reservation is cancelled refund of deposit may be refunded at managements discretion usually subject to a replacement reservation being confirmed.

The refund of a deposit is subject to a $100 cancelation/administration fee

The refund amount can be held in trust for a future reservation with the cancelation/administration fee waived in full.


For Easter Holiday Periods, Long Weekends and School Holidays

A deposit equal to 50% of the tariff or the first nights’ accommodation whichever is greater, payable on booking.

If the reservation is cancelled refund of deposit would be subject to a replacement reservation being confirmed.

The refund of a deposit is subject to a $100 cancelation/administration fee

The refund amount can be held in trust for a future reservation with the cancelation/administration fee waived in full.


For all Other Periods

A deposit equal to the first night’s accommodation is required and payable on booking.

If the reservation is cancelled with less than 14 days’ notice the deposit would be forfeited unless a replacement reservation is confirmed.


Cancelled and Amended Reservations

If you need to amend or cancel a reservation, please give us as much notice as possible. By doing this we are more likely to secure a replacement reservation and refund your deposit.

Refunds for early departure would only be possible if a replacement reservation was secured, the amount of refund would be at the discretion of management.

Failure to Notify of Delayed Arrival or Cancellation

If you do not notify Tathra Beach House of your cancellation or delayed arrival by 10.00am on the day following your scheduled arrival day your reservation will be cancelled and all payments will be forfeited.
